Summary
This study analysed patients admitted to the 1st Internal Clinic of Olomouc University Hospital diagnosed with vasovagal syncope, focusing on their diagnosis and a comparison of patients suffering from vasovagal syncope treated by beta-blockers and patients without treatment. The results were compared with the general consensus.
The study lasted for 2 years, during which a total of 7.507 patients were admitted to the aforementioned clinic. Vasovagal syncope was confirmed in 48 cases. There was no significant difference in age or sex in the evaluated group of patients, nor was there a difference in relapses between patients treated and those not treated with beta-blockers.
Key words:
syncope vasovagal, diagnostic, possible treatment, comparison of possible treatments.
