Summary
Asymptomatic cardiac arrhythmias may in fact have worse consequences than symptomatic arrhythmias, as they are often detected only in severe medical complications associated with unrecognised arrhythmias. In clinical practice, the incidence of asymptomatic arrhythmias is quite frequent, but these specific conditions do not have any recommended procedures for their resolution. This review summarises the current evidence needed for optimal management of asymptomatic arrhythmias, if any, and/or provides EHRA professional consensus to solve this problem if the evidence is insufficient or inconsistent.
Keywords:
atrial fibrillation – asymptomatic arrhythmias – tachycardia induced cardiomyopathy – ectopy – preexcitation – bradycardia
