Summary
Even today, tuberculosis remains a serious infectious disease. The difficulty of this disease is based on the fact that is not usually mentioned in differential diagnosis. It is essential to adhere to basic diagnostic criteria. Bacteriological identification of disease producing Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex forms the gold standard. Tuberculosis can form unusual radiographic findings. Combined long term antituberculous therapy consisting of two phases cures the disease.
Key words:
tuberculosis, diagnosis, therapy, antituberculous drugs.
